PLEASE NOTE: For Unqualified students, Anatomy & Physiology classes are required to be undertaken by ITEC. Please consult the Anatomy & Physiology class schedule and additional cost.

  • Exam Fees charged by ITEC not included in the course fees – approx. Euro 150, due two months after the start of the course.

  • A Student Massage Kit, provided by Sangoma, is included in the course cost: Five towels (1 bath sheet, 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels) and a couch roll.

  • Students are required to bring Antiseptic wipes, tissues, other sundries and course books, which include: An Introductory guide to Aromatherapy by Louise Tucker (ISBN: 1-903348-01-3 Published: Holistic Therapy Books) and An Introductory Guide to Massage by Louise Tucker (ISBN: 9781903348451 Published: December 2008, Holistic Therapy Books) NOTE: The Massage course book used must be no earlier than this publication date and should have a bright pink cover. Books can be purchased on Amazon or from Bomar Ltd, Kilcoole (www.bomar.ie). Several other optional books will be recommended throughout the course. It is a requirement that the latest copies of these books are brought to the first class of the course.

  • Students are responsible for the purchase of a kit of aromatherapy essential oils, base oils and bottles, so that class work, study, practice and case studies can be completed. The essential oils in the student’s kits must be from either Neals Yard, Bomar, Atlantic Aromatics, Primavera or Tisserand. A list of required products will be issued upon enrolment of the course. The course tutor will be available for assistance with advice should the student have any issues with purchasing their kit.

Curriculum:

Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils from plants for their therapeutic properties. The oils are used for treating medical and non-medical conditions. Plant oils have been used for their health benefits for hundreds of years. The course teaches the properties and uses of essential oils and methods of use, including through a full body aromatherapy massage.
