IPAF 3a & 3b

IPAF is quickly becoming the preferred MEWP ticket required on many large construction sites in Ireland including Intel, Facebook and WuXi. This IPAF course teaches you how to safely operate Scissors Lifts and Boom Lifts.

This is a 1-day course which includes both theory & practical learning  – IPAF certs are valid for 5 years and are issued within 14 days of completing the course.

At National Training Solutions we offer 3 options for completing this course. In addition to our public schedule we also offer online, group and on-site training nationwide.

1. Spend the day at our training centre in Navan where you will complete both the theory and practical sessions
2. Complete the online E-learning* theory session at home or in your workplace and spend only ½ a day at our training centre to complete the practical session

The aim of this 1-day IPAF  3a & 3b Course is to equip learners with the skills, knowledge & understanding to safely operate Scissors and Boom lifts. On completion you will be able to: 

• Safely operate an MEWP using correct driving techniques
• Be aware of the legislation surrounding MEWPS and accident prevention 
• Refuel & recharge a Scissors Lift safely and understand pre use inspections
• Understand stability and operating capabilities

Successful delegates will receive an IPAF ePAL Card valid for 5 years.

On-site training is available anywhere on the island of Ireland, north and south. We have delivered on-site IPAF Training in Dublin, Belfast, Cork, Galway, Limerick, Newry, Athlone, Waterford, Enniskillen, Dundalk, Kildare, Newbridge, Sligo, Roscommon, Cavan and Wexford. 

This course is ideal for anyone over 16 years old who needs to work at a height such as: construction workers, painters, electricians, roofers, window cleaners, window installers, tree surgeons, maintenance workers. Anyone in a trade seeking to upskill.

Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and medically fit to operate machinery. 
Trainees must have the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment with them to operate the MEWPs/Cherry Picker

• Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest, Facemask, Harness & Adjustable Restraint Lanyard.
