ECG Rhythm Recognition Training

Our half-day ECG rhythm recognition course is designed to give you a basic understanding of what an ECG is and how to read the basic ECG rhythms.

Anyone who is working with ECG’s or anyone who wants to refresh their ECG knowledge.

Course objectives

Following this course, you can describe the importance of an ECG and list the 7 Basic ECG rhythms. As well, you are able to perform and read an ECG.

• How to identify all aspects of PQRST.
• How to read a ECG rhythms.
• Correct applications of ECG leads.

Methods of Training

The course is highly interactive with each theory session being followed by a demonstration, practical tasks and assessment of individual skills.

Assessment and certification

Continuous assessment throughout the course. Students receive a PSTC Certificate on completion. The certificate is valid for 2 years.
