Our Prep School Program offers secondary graduates a unique chance to polish their basketball skills, strengthen their bodies, and complete any necessary coursework to be eligible for international university options, as well as improve their English. Student-athletes can take a year out and be part of an academy that will push their basketball abilities beyond.
The academy offers an intensive basketball program. Student-athletes may have up to 4 hours of basketball per day and are encouraged to do some focused study in the areas of Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology. Additionally, all student-athletes are encouraged to play competitively in local leagues.
With this program, athletes have a chance to attend exposure events and gain visibility from recruiters and coaches from universities in the US & UK. We find the program receiving regular invites for our players to visit universities and colleges with the possibility of full and partial scholarships hanging in the air.
This programme is suitable for young men and women between the ages of 17 and 21, and at most one year removed from secondary school.
Students who attend the academy will receive academic assistance, basketball career planning, high-performance basketball training as well as strength and conditioning training. We prioritize long-term personal development with the use of state of the art facilities based in Dublin, Ireland. NABA is perfectly placed geographically to give athletes the chance for a multinational platform to showcase and develop their talents.
We offer various programs that are aligned to academic programs to suit a diverse range of student-athletes. We also offer community programs which offer the opportunity for personal development in disadvantaged areas of Dublin city, in particular, the Dublin 7 area of North Dublin.
