The first module of the Microsoft Digital Literacy curriculum, available for free online, introduces you to the fundamentals of computing, explains the components of a computer, explores operating system basics, and shows you how to use a mouse and a keyboard.
CERTIFICATIONTo qualify for your official ALISON Diploma, Certificate or PDF you must study and complete all modules and score 80% or more in each of the course assessments. A link to your Diploma certificate will then appear under the My Certificates heading of your My Account page.
LEARNING OUTCOMESUpon completion of this course you will have a working knowledge of the different parts of a computer, such as the hardware, operating system and network. You will understand the different types of computers available, memory, computer performance and programs. You will learn about Windows Vista GUI and menu options. This couse will help you to manage files and folders on your computer more efficiently.
